An idiot tax

It is time to create a new tax. The new tax should be called Idiot Tax. Why?

On Monday, March 1, the B.C. government opened up the phone lines for B.C. residents to call in to set up a appointment for their COVID vaccine shots for anyone 90 years of age and over. The 2016 B.C. census listed 31,815 people over the age of 90. Total phone calls received were 1.7 million phone calls.

Adrian Dix, B.C.’s minister of Health has said repeatedly to be patient as everybody will receive their vaccine when it is time to phone in for their appointments as per the government time schedule. Appointments are being made in order of age groups. After the 90 age group is complete, then the next age group will be 85 years and up.

The dictionary defines patience as “the ability to wait for a long time without becoming annoyed or upset.”

On the same subject of idiot, we have people complaining that Costco stores require everyone, age two and up must wear a mask or a shield during the COVID period that we are in. Their complaint is that age two should not be required to wear a mask. These people seem to forget, that being able to shop at Costco stores, you must buy a membership. Membership rules have to be followed. If not, then do not shop at Costco.

You have to buy a membership at a gym or a golf course. These locations also have a set of rules to follow.

The year is 2021 and common sense does not exist.

Unbelievable!
