Born June 1, 1931, Roy (Joseph) Richardson, ol’ time friend to many, passed away peacefully in Duncan at Cowichan District Hospital on December 26, 2007. Predeceased by his parents and brother Gary Richardson. Survived by sister Joanne and daughter Debbie and many friends of Lake Cowichan and Duncan area.
Roy served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and worked for Canada Post as a foreman of the loading docks in Victoria until he retired. Roy was an avid and active member of the Royal Canadian Legion and Elks association.
For those who knew him a celebration of life was held at the Royal Canadian Legion (Branch #210), Lake Cowichan, Saturday, January 5, 2008 between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
