Born in Grayson, Saskatchewan on August 25,1917, passed away on September 19, 2005 with Joe and Linda at her side. Predeceased by her loving husband Ron in 1982, and sister Pearl in 1986. She will be sadly missed and always remembered by her son Joe (Gail) and daughter Linda (John Price) and her grandchildren Shawn, Tera, Michael, Chris and Anthony, and her great grandchildren Kevin, Scott, Cameron, Devon, Mackenzie, Morgan, and Nancy. She leaves behind her sister Minnie and brother Ed and many nieces and nephews, and friends.
Everyone will remember "Aunty Rose" and her love of people, animals, flowers, nature, and her home on the Cowichan River which she lived in for 58 years.
Rose grew up in Saskatchewan on a farm, and moved to Vancouver in 1932 where she later met Ron. They married in 1947 , upon which they moved to Lake Cowichan that year to a house on the Cowichan River where she lived until her death.
Rose lived life to the fullest, always enjoying parties, cards, gardening, bingo, friends, and family in her home where the kettle was always on for all. We will always cherish her many daily acts of kindness to all.
A celebration of Rose's life took place on Saturday, September 24, 2005 1 pm - 3 pm at the Lake Cowichan Seniors Centre.
