In loving memory ~
Long-time Lake Cowichan resident Bob Godfrey passed away peacefully at home on December 8th, 2022. He was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Lil Godfrey. He is survived by his daughter Terri Wood and her 2 children, Trisha and Myles, and his son Reid Godfrey, and his son Sterling. Also survived by his daughter- in-law, Sherry Godfrey.
Bob was born and raised in Lake Cowichan and graduated from LCHS in 1956. He went on to become a heavy-duty mechanic and welder and was employed in the forest industry until he started his own business Bob Godfrey Welding in the 1970's, which was a big success. Eventually he went on to do inspections for the provincial government. Like the energizer bunny he never quit working.
The family would like to express our gratitude to Ed and Audrey James and Rod and Karen Peters for always being there for Bob. There are numerous others deserving of our thanks, you know who you are, and we are very grateful.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 7th, 2023 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Upper Centennial Hall in Lake Cowichan.
