Penny passed away suddenly Monday, April 23, 2007 at the Cowichan District Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Russel and her father Henry (Erickson). Penny was born May 9, 1945 in Port Alberni B.C. Penny is survived by her mother Rose Erickson (Duncan) daughter Debbie Giacomazzi (Port Alberni) sister Robin Rogers (Steve) (Lake Cowichan), sister-in-law Patsy Smith (Duncan) good friend Joan Webb (Lake Cowichan) and numerous other close friends. Aunty Penny will be lovingly remembered by her nephews Mike and Kelly (Rogers) as the famous “Mrs. Claus” every Christmas and the many happy times they shared together on “The Wharf” at her home on the Cowichan River. Penny will be sadly missed by all who knew her. No service by request.
