Mavis’s life has come full circle beginning on February 5, 1928 in Prince Albert, Sask. and ending December 21, 2010 at Cairnsmore Place, Duncan, BC.

Survived by her husband of 65 years, Walter; son, Rod (Diane), grandchildren Brandon, Dean (Christina), Dayna (Paul); son, Wayne (Janet), grandson Mike (Sam); daughter Wendy (Dorwin), grandchildren Stuart (Jen) and Nicole (Riley), great grand-children Keegan, Alexis, Chase, Wesley and Gwen.

Mavis spent her youth in Spiritwood, Sask. She and Walt moved to BC and settled in Lake Cowichan, where they raised their children. Over the years she spent time as a Brownie leader, a member of the Anglican Church and choir and was devoted to spending quality time with her children.

In 1979, after many years working for the School Board and doing the books for the family business, she and Walt retired. They spent many fun-filled winters in Indio, California, golfing (2 holes in one to her credit), dirt biking, playing Bingo and cruising the highways on her ‘Verago’ motorbike.

She will always be remembered for her great wit and humor, her zest for life and her unconditional love for her family.

She left this world as she lived it; with great dignity.
