Marilyn died on June 6, 2018 at the age of 69 at the Cowichan District Hospital with her family by her side. She died after a short illness which she fought courageously.
Marilyn lived a fulfilling life as a mother, wife, sister, nana, and friend. She was an avid reader, often reading a novel a night. She loved gardening, especially her roses.
Marilyn was predeceased by her first husband, Robert (Bob) Bligh in 1975 and her son Toby Childs in 2012. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Larry Childs, her children, Vincent Bligh, Stacey Bligh, and Jason Childs (Hillary), and her grandchildren, Cassidy, Robbie, Emma and Walker.
Marilyn loved all animals (even the ugly ones), but especially her dog Jinx and her cat Whiskey who followed her everywhere.€
The family would like to thank Dr. Peter Postuk who provided compassionate care to Mom throughout her illness and in her final days.
