It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of a beautiful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. Margretta passed away at home on the morning of June 30, 2007 with family by her side. She battled cancer with dignity and grace and her will to live was strong and evident to the very end. Margretta is the youngest of ten children, born in Newtownards, N. Ireland. She had resided in Victoria prior to making a wonderful life for her husband and children in Honeymoon Bay. For many years, Margretta was very involved in the local community theatre (Kaatza Players) which she so loved. Her beautiful voice and acting ability touched many lives in so many ways. Margretta’s sense of humor and zest for life kept her family going through difficult times. The passion for life that she was blessed with was insurmountable and she passed that on to all she loved and cared for. She had the most beautiful smile and a twinkle in her eye like no other. She could light up a room in an instant. Margretta will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Margretta (aka RED) will be in our hearts forever.
Survived by her loving husband Jack and children Bobby, Tanya (Terry) Anthony, Glen, Wayne (Marnie) and her adored grandson Joshua as well as many relatives in N. Ireland, England and Australia.
Rest in Peace Honey (our little Irish Coleen),
We will always Love You
Till we meet again Toots.
