Passed away peacefully on December 22, 2007 at Cowichan District Hospital. Born on February 18, 1924 in Zelandia, Saskatchewan. Louise, a resident of Youbou since 1945 always said she “lived in the best of times in Youbou and had the best of friends”. Mom loved to golf, garden, play cards, and dance. Her hands were never idle with knitting, crafts, and baking. Mom’s laughter was contagious and she thoroughly enjoyed a good joke and in her words lived a good life. Loving mother of Beatrice, Earl, and Karen, she goes to join hands with son Dennis (Mar 9/79) and her husband Jim (Feb 27/04). Online condolences may be offered at www.sandsfuneral.com
To: Mom
God looked around His garden
And found an empty space;
He then looked down upon this earth
And saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you
And lifted you to rest;
God’s garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering,
He knew that you were in pain
He knew you might never
Get well upon this earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb
So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, “Peace by thine.”
It broke my heart to lose you,
But you never went alone,
For part of me went with you
The day God called you home.
Love, Karen
