Lorraine Granberg

November 15, 2007

Lorraine was born in Duncan BC on September 29,1949.  She passed away suddenly on November 15, 2007.

She is predeceased by her mother Millie Creelman, her father-in-law Karl Granberg and mother-in-law Olive Granberg.

She is survived and will be lovingly remembered by her husband Edwin Granberg, her children Tonya Granberg, Lisa (William) Gibb, Tammy Granberg and her two granddaughters Haley and Kelsea Gibb, her father Stan Creelman, one sister Evelyn and brothers Keith (Shawn) and Brian as well as various uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews and friends.

Lorraine was raised in Lake Cowichan and graduated high school at LCSS. After graduating she attended Sproutt Shaw College in Vancouver and then moved to Saskatchewan where she married Edwin Granberg. Lorraine worked for the City of Prince Albert and raised her 3 daughters where her spare time was spent with her children’s many interests. In 1992 the family welcomed a new daughter from Holland. Hanneke quickly became part of the family and Lorraine enjoyed showing her around and teaching her the Canadian way.

As her children grew, Lorraine and Ed’s house was always filled with friends and neighbours and her memorable laugh.

In early 2000 she retired from the City of Prince Albert and enjoyed gardening, her yard was often filled with laughter from the neighbourhood children.

In June she returned to her birthplace to be closer to family and friends. Lorraine was a very private person and as per her request there will be no service.
