After a brief but courageous battle with cancer, Linda passed away at Victoria Hospice on the evening of June 7th, surrounded by the love of her family.
Linda will be remembered by her partner John Lommerse, son Dean, daughter-in-law Kari, grandson Dayton, granddaughters Haley and Brooke, twin sister Arlene, sister Carol, mother Grace Hertzog, nieces Lara Bremner and Jennifer Bridge, nephew Colin Bremner and brothers-in-law John Bremner and Ken Humphreys.
Linda lived most of her life in Victoria where she made many long lasting friendships. For the past several years she lived in Lake Cowichan where her passion for gardening resulted in an award for the best new garden in the community. She worked for many years in the retail sector, both in Victoria and Duncan, and in her spare time loved anything to do with arts and crafts.
Special thanks to the staff on the third floor, Cowichan District Hospital, for the care they provided to Linda during her illness.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a memorial to Linda’s life at St. Michael & All Angels Anglican Church, 4733 West Saanich Road at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 24th. The service will be followed by a reception at the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation
