January 31, 1941 - June 10, 2020
Wayne passed away peacefully on June 10th at his daughters' home in West Kelowna after a short battle with Colon Cancer.
The middle child of three boys, Wayne was raised in the small town of Wawanesa Manitoba. His love for the outdoors and hunting brought him to beautiful Fernie BC, where he then raised his family.
Being a Queen's scout and passionate hunter had him involved in establishing Scout and Archery programs in the area. He passed on his knowledge, expertise, and love of the outdoors to his children and many other youths in the community.
His retirement years brought him out to Vancouver Island. He loved fishing and was tickled when he could come up with his own fishing lure or bait that would land a big fish. He was also known to play a mean game of poker, winning many tournaments.
Wayne is predeceased by his mother Joyce , father Joe, brother Bob and daughter Joeline.
He leaves to mourn; the mother of his children Lana, sons Warren and Brad, daughter Rachael (Bleu), brother Jim (Lois), 3 precious grandchildren Gindalee, Prezton, Emry, good friend George, and his Lake Cowichan crew.
Arrangements are in the care of Everden Rust Funeral Services & Crematorium, West Kelowna Arrangement Centre (250-768-8925).
