Jeanne passed away peacefully at Victoria General Hospital on December 17, 2005. She was predeceased by her first husband , Jack, in 1971, her second husband, Emery Lalonde in 2004 and her sister Maxine Calladine in 2005.
She will be greatly missed by her son Jeff (Kitty); their children Gordon (Jenny), Sandy (Colin); daughter Judy (Bob); their children Drew (Penny), Dave (Tracey). Her great grandchildren Trey, Brooke, Mitchell, Calvin and Jillian will miss their GG. She will be missed by her sister Joyce, numerous nieces and nephews and many extended members of the McAllister and Lalonde clans.
Jeanne graduated in 1938 from the Royal jubilee School of Nursing and married Jack in 1939. Her early married years were spent in remote logging communities on Vancouver Island finally settlin in Mesachie Lake and later Victoria. She returned to nursing in Victori and was able to pursue her love of travel and exploration. Jeanne was always interested in everything and everyone. She wanted to know why and what was around the next corner. Her interest on people developed many lifelong friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service for Jeanne will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at 2:00pm at First Memorial Funeral Services, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC.
