October 8, 1947 - February 17, 2018
Hukum was born in a small mountain village in North West Pakistan. Life was hard and when he was 9 years old he left his home and traveled by himself to the city to make money so he could help the family back home.

He arrived in Canada when he was 16 years old and started work the next day. He learned first hand that life can be a struggle, so when anyone that he knew was having a hard time, he was the first one to help them out. He was a big man in stature but had an even bigger heart.

He was a man who told it like it is. He loved to tell jokes and  could tell them for hours.  He also loved going to the seniors center in Lake Cowichan for weekly bridge night.

He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife Anne of 44 years. His daughters; Kaleema (Nathan), Aliya (Jacob) 4 grand children: Dylan, Taylor, Kelsey, and Elijah whom he loved and was so proud of. His 5 brothers and 3 sisters, many nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

He was predeceased by his 2 sons, Yusuf at 2.5 months and Yousaf at 29 years, by his mother, father, brother and one Brother that is still missing.

He touched so many peoples lives, left huge holes in our hearts and is going to be missed dearly. Thank you for all of the love and support from family and friends during this devastating time.

It is not ever a goodbye....It is until we meet again.
