Wilkinson, George A. Born July 18,1921
in Montreal, Quebec. Passed away peacefully in his sleep November 8,2002 in Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria B.C. Predeceased by his brother Ernest, sister Mary, and daughter in law Elisipee Owleyah. George is survived by Ruby, his wife of 62 years; sons Allan (Pat) and Barry (Terry); adopted daughter Jackie (Paul); and 6 grandchildren, Chris (Melanie), Tim (Trish), Cory, Jenny, Leanne (Terry) and Jamie. George joined the Canadian Army in 1939 and served overseas from 1941-1945, retiring from the military in 1954. George worked for many settlements in the Canadian Arctic before moving to Victoria, where he and his wife operated a group home. George was a respected member of the Victoria-Columbia Masonic Lodge #1. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George’s memory to a charity of your choice.
