DUFOUR, Diane Rose

(nee Philippot)

January 2, 1945

to March 26, 2007

Cookie Jar Lady Di

who doesn’t do normal.

Sadly – Diane has passed at the Cowichan District Hospital, in Duncan after her last and fast battle with pneumonia and finally cancer.

Born into the Lenchuk family (Ukrainian / Icelandic heritage) in Gimli, Manitoba. Diane is survived by Zoe, her cat; her husband, Steve; sisters, Lorraine (Pat), Wendy (Glen); brother Peter (Pat); brother-in-law, George,

stepdaughter, Brandy (Nathan); many wonderful aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, out-laws, and our great adopted family of friends.

Diane was the proud owner since 1975 of Canada Instant Print Ltd., a well-respected service driven company, before retiring to Lake Cowichan with Steve in 2001. Never one to stop she continued to manage (with Steve) Riverbend Properties.

Diane will be remembered as a kind, caring, intelligent, giving, loving lady. All who knew her will miss her wonderful sense of humour.

Special thanks to Dr. Phillip Kelly for his years of heartfelt dedication

and all the caring physicians, nurses and staff at the Cancer Clinic; Royal Jubilee and Cowichan District Hospital.

At Diane’s request there was no formal service. Those who wished to pay their final respects and farewells with Diane did do so in the lovely old chapel at First Memorial at 375 Brae Road in Duncan. Saturday, March 31, 2007 Cremation followed.
