Stephens, “Bud” (Wilfred Cecil) On October 19th, 2003, Bud went for his final walk in the woods. He was born March 29th 1913 in Vancouver and spent his life working in the logging industy on the coast of B.C. before retiring to Powell River. Bud was predeceased by his beloved first wife Alice, his fondly remembered second wife Adelaide and his third wife and soul mate “Happy”. He leaves to cherish memories of him his sons Wesley (Joan) Campbell River, Joe, Powell River, daughter Sandra Harrison (Ed) Lake Cowichan, stepson Bob, Powell River, 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
At his request a private family remembrance was held in celebration of his long and active life. In lieu of flowers he asked that donations be made to the charities of your choice.
Special thanks are extended from the family to Dr. James Chartrand and the medical staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox and to the medical staff of the Powell River General hospital for their care and attention to Bud over the past several years.
