Robertson, Auriol (nee Stone) died suddenly at home on her 81st birthday, October 28, 2003. Born in King’s Daughters Hospital in Duncan, she grew up at Stonehaven on Gibbins Rd. before moving to the farm at Robertson River, near Mesachie Lake. She was predeceased by her five older brothers. She is survived by
her children Wayne Robertson of Lake Cowichan and Nancy Davis of Sidney,
her grandsons Owen Ashley Robertson
and Nigel Rathen Robertson, and many nieces and nephews. Her passion for her garden and all
creatures, especially her dogs and cats, was second only to her love for her family. A founding member of the Cowichan District Riding Club and
an accomplished equestrian, her beloved horses were an integral part of her life until she gave up riding in her 79th year. The family wish to recognize the support and friendship of her neighbours, which helped to ensure her independence to the end. The funeral service will held on Sunday November 9th at 2:00 pm at
St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 5800 Church Street off Maple Bay Road in Duncan.
