Andrew Spencer Preiswerck

November 1, 2006

Andrew finally set down his burden on November 1st, 2006 after an incredible courageous five-and-a-half month battle with brain cancer. He left this world in peace surrounded by the people he loved best. We had him here for only 20 short years, but those who knew him will never forget his quiet ways, his dry sense of humour and his wonderful shy smile. Andrew was born and raised in Skutz Falls and Lake Cowichan. He graduated from LCSS and was an excellent student and award winner in forestry and woodwork. He loved his family, his dog and his dirt bikes. Andrew on two wheels, be it his bike or dirt bike, was something to behold. The sight of Mike and Andrew pulling up in the green half-ton was a welcome and familiar one to the many people that they worked for around town.

He leaves behind to remember him his beloved Dad, Mike Preiswerck, his cherished sister Katie Preiswerck (and Mike Olson), his Mum (and partner) Diana Andrew (Lee Hutton and family), his crazy old uncle Gus Preiswerck, Grandparents Don and Betty Andrew, his adoring Aunts and Uncle, cousins and great aunts, all the gang at Nana's House and countless good friends he made in his time here and of course his beloved dog, Rock.

We give many thanks to Dr. Froese and Dr. Cameron and the staffs of Cowichan District Hospital, Vic General, the Jubilee Pavillon and the Victoria Cancer Clinic for their compassion and care. To Lorna and all the trust fund people, Nancy and the "Andrew's Aunties Team" who did the Great Lake Walk for him, for the countless gifts of food, flowers, firewood, money, prayers, help and well-wishes, we thank you all. This town pulled together in an amazing outpouring of love.

We did not say goodbye when Andrew left us because as long as we remember him he will always

be with us.
