Amar passed away after a year-long battle with cancer with her daughter and sister by her side.
Forever loved, honoured and cherished by her children Allin (Astra) and Janine (Moses), her mother Nirmal, her sister Jas (Rick), brothers Parm and Lucky, nephews Aaron and Wes, neices Stephanie, Jessica, Alexandria and her mother Janet. Also, many friends and relatives. Amar was predeceased by her loving father Atma.
Amar was born in Duncan and went to school in Lake Cowichan. She married, and raised two children in various logging camps. Amar carried on working with a banking career in Vancouver. She came back to Lake Cowichan for her later years. She was a big Canucks fan and was always willing to give anybody a helping hand. Amar will be sadly missed by everyone she touched.
A Memorial Tea will be held at the lower Centennial Hall, 309 South Shore Road,
Lake Cowichan, on Sunday,
May 29, 2011 from
