Passed away peacefully November 21, 2005 after happily listening to her final Vancouver Canucks Hockey game. Alice was born July 10, 1912 in Port Alberni, BC to Jack and Louise Warren. She spent her early years in Port Alberni and then in New Westminster where she graduatd from the Royal Columbian Hospital School of Nursing in 1933. While working at the West Coast General Hospital in Port Alberni she met her adoring husband Buzz. Alice and Buzz were happily married for 62 years until his passing. Alice was a lifetime member of the Order of the Royal Purple and recently received her 60 year pin. Important to Alice was family, friends, gardening, bowling, trips to Reno, worrying about everyone, hockey, community service and laughter. Alice is survived by her cherished daughter Bonnie, loving grandchildren: Kellie (Rob) and Rob (Alana); great-grandchildren: Cameron, Faryn, Cydney and Kurtis. Also by Jim Rowley, brother-in-law Robbie Macfie, sister-in-law Toby Miles and many loving nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her husband Buzz in1998, her brother Harold Warren and sister Evelyn Macfie in June 2005. Service to be held Saturday, December 3rd, 2005 at 2 pm. Trinity Anglican Lutheran Church, 4766 Angus Street, Port Alberni. Bonnie and her children would like to thank all the family and friends who visited Alice during her brief stay in hospital. Your visits, flowers, treats and most of all, your gifts of love will be forever remembered.
