Passed away suddenly but peacefully on May 16, 2006 after a brief illness. Predeceased by parents Henry and Ester; and sisters Letty and Lil. Al will be sadly missed by wife Dorothy; children Robert (Kelly), Heather (Mark) and Kathy (Rob); grandchildren Lindsey, Melissa, Paul and Dayna; sisters Dorothy Dwyer and Margaret McGowen; as well as many relatives and friends. For nearly half a century, Al worked his entire logging career at B.C.F.P., Caycuse and was a proud member of the IWA union. In his gentle manner, Al respected all and was praised for his deep knowledge in local and logging history. A celebration of Al’s life will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel, 187 Trunk Road, Duncan, BC on Saturday, May 27, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. A special thanks to Dr. Gilbert and the staff at Cairnsmore and CDH.
