It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Alfred Rudiger. Born in Germany on May 26, 1938 passed away suddenly on August 17th at home with his wife by his side in Lake Cowichan. Alfred was pre-deceased by his father Oscar, mother Wanda, brothers Herb and Sig. Alfred enjoyed his retirement for the past 12 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved playing and watching hockey. He will be sadly missed by his wife Karen, daughters Shelley (Nolan), Jackie (Carlos) and Wendy (Daren) and his precious grandchildren, Taylor, Alexandra, Jade and Boston, his step-sister Karen and step-brother Gerry. Several nieces and nephews and very close friends Erwin, Stan, Attilio, Carl and Bill. We know that his love will last forever as will all of our love for him.
There was a gathering at the Lake Cowichan Curling Club Lounge on Monday August 22nd at 1:00 pm. Celebration of life to follow.
