Albert (Bish) has passed away after a lengthy illness. Albert and Hazel came to Lake Cowichan in 1949, where he started working as a faller. Later in 1952 joined the Lake Cowichan work crew where he retired in 1980. Albert was also a volunteer Fire Fighter. He and his wife were blessed with a son in 1953 (Michael). They adopted a boy Lance a few years later in 1964. Albert was predeceased by his wife Hazel of 54 years in 2003. Brothers Joe, Peck, Ed, Jim, Fred and sister Lucy. He is survived by his sisters Elizabeth (Zibby)and Marie, brothers John, Louie and Willie. His sons Michael (Barbara) and Lance. Grandchildren Ken, Terrie (Bryce) Shrimpton, Scott, Jennifer, Janelle, Rebecca and many nieces and nephews. There will be no funeral by request of the deceased. You may make a donation to your favorite charity, or the Cancer Society. We would like to thank Dr. Postuk for all his hard work and kind words. Also we would like to thank all the hard working staff at the hospital for all the great work and patience they had with dad with his numerous stays in the hospital to the end.
