The specialized environmental equipment that was stolen from a pick-up truck in Duncan last week has been recovered.

Trish King, whose family owns the unique equipment, said the manager of a 7-Eleven store in Duncan called the police to inform officials that he was in possession of the equipment.

“We don’t know any more about how the equipment was recovered, but the police called my husband (on Nov. 21) and told him he could drop by the detachment’s headquarters and pick it up,” she said.

“Everything turned out great in the end and we’d like to thank everyone who helped us get this equipment back. It would have cost a lot to replace.”

Thieves broke into the truck at they King’s home in the north end of Duncan some time after 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 19 and before 7 a.m. on Nov. 20.
