Power has been restored in downtown Duncan.
Power went out at about 7:53 a.m., affecting 2931 customers from north of Trunk Road to east of Government Street, and was restored 49 minutes later.
BC Hydro spokesman Ted Olynyk said the cause is unknown, but it’s possible a bird may have flown into a transformer, shorting out the power for the affected area
