Poppy flag raised over Duncan City Hall

A small crowd gathered Sunday, Oct. 30 in front of Duncan City Hall to mark the start of the Royal Canadian Legion’s Poppy Tag Days. The poppy campaign is a fundraiser for the Legion but also serves as a reminder of those who have fallen by paying tribute to their sacrifices.

All funds raised go directly to veterans and their families: to the Legion Foundation, to special programs for veterans with special physical needs, PTSD care and research, Veteran Care Homes, bursaries, and more.

The poppy campaign runs until Nov. 11.
