Police seeking help with Duncan assault investigation

RCMP officers are investigating an assault involving a group of youths and two men on April 24, and are asking for help from the public.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. on that day, officers from the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP detachment responded to an area on Beverly Street, near Chesterfield Avenue, after receiving a report of an assault.

As a result of this altercation, one man sustained non-life threatening injuries requiring medical attention, while the other man and one youth sustained minor injuries.

The individuals involved were not known to each other.

“Investigators are requesting the public’s assistance in the ongoing investigation,” said Const. Kristine Roesler.
