Police asking for help in case where man hit over the head, robbed in Duncan

The North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are asking for help from the public to gather more information about a robbery that took place on Dec. 8, 2021 at approximately 5 p.m.

The victim was walking by himself on Coronation Avenue near the Trans-Canada Highway in Duncan when he was struck on the head and knocked to the ground. His cell phone was then stolen by one of four men.

There was a female witness who stopped and enquired into the victim’s well being.

Police investigating this matter would like to speak with the witness and any other witnesses to this crime.
