Alistair MacGregor, MP for Cowichan-Malahat-Langford, launched the “Create Your Canada” contest on Sept. 29.
MacGregor’s annual contest gives students in Grades 11 and 12 in his riding the opportunity to win a trip to Ottawa by submitting their ideas on how to make Canada a better place.
The winning student(s) will have the opportunity to watch MacGregor present their idea to the House of Commons as a Private Member’s Bill.
“I am very excited to give students in my riding the opportunity to learn about and participate in the legislative process firsthand,” said MacGregor.
“The young people of this country are growing increasingly concerned about our future, and I want to encourage them to get involved and think about how we can create a better Canada.”
The deadline for submissions to the “Create your Canada” contest is March 31, 2023.
