A fire within the mechanical pulp mill operation at Paper Excellence’s Catalyst Crofton mill was contained late Wednesday night.
As of 10:30 p.m., the fire was almost out with crews from the four fire departments called to the site working diligently to make that happen as quickly as possible.
“We will be fully investigating the event in the coming days to ascertain the cause,” noted Graham Kissack, vice president of Environment, Health and Safety and corporate communications for Paper Excellence.
