The Easter Seals Christmas tree recycling fundraiser is back at the BC Forest Discovery Centre on Jan. 8 and 9.

Trees can be chipped for a donation to Easter Seals Camp Shawnigan, an overnight and day summer camp program for children and adults with disabilities.

“Easter Seals will dispose of your live Christmas tree in an environmentally-friendly manner,” said a press release issued by Jennifer Vasarhely, of Easter Seals. “It’s a great way to end the holiday season of giving, knowing your donation will help send persons with disabilities to Camp Shawnigan.”

Competition Tree Service and Duncan Lions Club volunteers are helping with the fundraiser, and COVID-19 safety protocols will be followed.

In its 32 years, Chip In For The Kids has already raised more than $420,000.
