While local service will continue as regularly scheduled, BC Transit has implemented rear-door boarding on local Cowichan Valley routes to enhance social distancing for drivers and passengers.

Passengers can still board through the front door if they require use of the ramp or other accessible features of the bus. Passengers using the Cowichan Valley Commuter, Route 44 Duncan/Victoria, handyDART and community buses will continue to enter and exit through the single-entry front door.

Fares are free for the next 30 days on Cowichan Valley transit including the Cowichan Valley Commuter, Route 44 Duncan/Victoria, local routes, and handyDART.

BC Transit is unable to process refund requests for March monthly passes or semester passes, but pass holders are asked to keep their pass as it will be accepted for a period of time after regular fare service resumes.

Although there is no change in service level at this time, any changes will be announced and posted through the BC Transit web alert system.
