The Sutcliffes have announced they are postponing their upcoming June 28 performance at Osborne Bay Pub in Crofton, but fans won’t be left ashore.
Instead, members of the band will take the stage as Rock Yacht—a smooth-sailing tribute to the sexy, soft rock sounds of the ’70s and ’80s.
Describing themselves simply as “We’re a band called Rock Yacht. We specialize in yacht rock,” the group draws inspiration from the era’s top hits by artists like Hall & Oates, the Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan, Seals & Crofts and America. Their luxurious smooth‑vocal arrangements and high‑production sound evoke the polished sound made popular on yacht-rock playlists and recent film soundtracks.
Ticketholders for the original show will receive a refund, but Osborne Bay Pub is encouraging fans to still come out for what’s expected to be a fun and high-energy evening.
The show takes place Saturday, June 28 from 8 to 10:30 p.m. at 1534 Joan Ave. in Crofton.
