Crofton’s Osborne Bay Pub continues to make Saturday nights special with a great line up of talent this June.

On June 8 Osborne Bay Pub brings the cool feels of Ladysmith rocker Ryan McMahon to their stage. On the heels of recording and releasing his seventh studio album and touring alongside Canadian icons Burton Cummings and Tom Cochrane as their opening act, McMahon brings his blend of folk, rock, roots and country to the intimate pub.

McMahon, who has also shared the stage with big name acts such as Mother Mother, Lisa Loeb, Aaron Pritchett and more, is excited to be playing music closer to home. The show is from 8 to 10:30 p.m. and tickets are $30.

On June 15 come out to the pub for an evening of nothing but the blues with the Paul Black CD Release Party as he plays songs from his third album Beautiful Sin.

Hailing from Terrace, Black has had a guitar in his hand since he was 18, inspired by greats such as Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, and even Jimi Hendrix, soaking up all the sounds of blues he could get his ears on.

Black’s soulful slow-burning sound has been heard alongside talents such as Etta James, Robert Cray and Robin Trower on the North American syndicated show Blues Deluxe out of Arlington, Texas. Come listen to original songs off Black’s latest CD that has been given the impressive rating of 8 out of 10 by ROLLING STONE.com. Black takes the stage at 8 p.m. and tickets are $20.

Stepping away from their usual Saturday night sweet spot, the pub is starting off the first day of summer with blues and classic rock jam Boogie by the Bay. The pub’s new series, which will take place on the third Thursday of every month, will be hosted by Grant Payne and the Thor Jonsson Band. An array of musicians will be showcasing all things blues and rock and roll. There will be a $10 cover for these events at the door.

On June 22, get swept away with the jazzy soulful stylings of the David Santana Trio.

Winners of solo para bravos, the Chilean National electric guitar competition, this trio is known for captivating audiences with their dynamic and fiery style. Their performances are a testament to their passion for jazz, as they bring a fresh and vibrant energy to a varied repertoire of jazz standards and original compositions.

“I’m very excited to follow his development as a new voice on the jazz scene in BC and proud to call him a peer here in Victoria, said Juno nominated musician Ryan Oliver in a press release. “I have tremendous confidence in David’s abilities as a musician and composer.”

The David Santana Trio takes the stage at 8 p.m. and tickets are $20.

On June 29, treat yourself to a taste of the sounds of Kevin’s Bacon.

This dynamic power trio from Ladysmith and Nanaimo brings the energized sounds of Weezer, and The Black Keys as well as timeless classic of for the Fab Four and Queen to the pub stage at 8 p.m. They will even touch on the modern flair of Billie Eilish which will certainly be a draw for music loving Millennials. Experience all the degrees of Kevin’s Bacon as this show spans all generations and genres. Tickets are $15.
