I want to acknowledge the excellent work and immediate response to my letter of concern written to the Operations Department of the District of North Cowichan. I wrote (by email) on Monday, April 26 to the department, as well as Mayor Siebring and Coun. Marsh, bringing their attention to the very poor condition of the parking area at Askew Creek Park on Oak Street in Chemainus. This area is also a transit stop and a Canada Post mailbox pick up area for local residents.
The very next morning, April 27, a Municipal work crew was on hand to fill in the potholes and level the parking area. Hats off and kudos to North Cowichan’s Operations Department for their quick work and excellent service.
