B.C. Premier David Eby made a quick campaign visit to North Cowichan on Sept. 27 as part of a tour of Vancouver Island ridings in preparation for the provincial election on Oct. 19.

Eby met briefly with the NDP candidate for the Cowichan Valley Debra Toporowski and Dana Lajeunesse, the NDP candidate for Juan de Fuca-Malahat, near the new $1.4-billion Cowichan District Hospital that is under construction on Bell McKinnon Road.
