The Cowichan Lake Arts and Culture Society (CLAC) wants to see what you did with your canvas!

What canvas?

Last year the CLAC contributed to art packages that the Chamber of Commerce gave out to families in the area. It’s time to show them off with a “Beat the Covid Blues!” art show in various locations in downtown Lake Cowichan.

“This opportunity is available to those who received the art packages and anyone else in the Cowichan Lake Area (Skutz Falls to Nitinat). You didn’t have to be a recipient of the Chamber’s art packages to enter,” said Kathie Fielding, president of the CLAC. “Everyone is welcome.”

There is no age limit, and no medium restrictions and no cost to participate. The only rule is that your work be on a 12 x 16 canvas board.

Those wanting to participate don’t have a lot of time.

Entries must be emailed to Fielding at: kathie@cowichanlakeartsandculture.org before Jan. 14. The digital files will then be used to assemble the show’s grouping and arrangements will be made to receive the actual product later in the month.

All art will be returned to the winners after the show.

“Let’s see what we can do to Beat the COVID Blues!” Fielding said.
