Yes, the famous Scottish meatloaf will be front and centre at a Robbie Burns Supper and Community Dance on Saturday, Jan. 28, sponsored by the Youbou Community Association.
The event starts at 5:30 p.m. and continues right up to 11:30 p.m. so get your friends together for a fun evening out.
Lots of Cowichan Lake area residents love the tradition of remembering Robbie Burns’s birthday, celebrating Scottish culture, food and music and this is a great chance to enjoy it close to home. Get ready to hear the haggis given a spirited welcome.
Later there will be lively dance music provided by the Tom Morrisey Band, so get ready to kick up your heels.
Organizers are promising great food, too.
“Yes, there will be haggis, and yes, there will be roast beef, too, at a full buffet-style dinner catered by Cassy’s Coffee House,” they say.
This is also a licensed event.
Tickets are $25 for the dinner and dance, or $20 for the dinner only, or $10 for the dance only. Buy them at Cassy’s Coffee House, Youbou Shop & Save or Daly’s Auto.
