I am riding for Hospice in the Cycle of Life Tour this weekend

I am looking forward to when a Hospice facility is built in the Cowichan Valley. I thought one way to help out is to participate in the Cycle of Life Tour coming up July 20-21.

We will be riding 200 kilometres over country roads from Saanich, to Mill Bay, Cowichan Valley and Saltspring.

I am raising money for Hospice as it has hit home. My dad 93, and mom 89 have been married for 70 years and are still in their own home here in the Valley. My dad now, is coming near the end of life.

There are no hospice beds, and my dad does not want to die in a hallway in the hospital, something he remembers that happened when he was last there in November.

My mom at her age is the main caregiver which is very difficult at times, but for both they are living out their marriage promise “in sickness and in health we will be there for each other, till the end.”

I will ride hard, and am trying to raise money and awareness how important this facility is. Please if you care to support me, you can go online and follow the links http://vh.convio.net/goto/MaryHof

You can also email mhof126@gmail.com I will ride with all my supporters in mind and together we can see one day soon, a Hospice facility built here in the Cowichan Valley.
