We’re all One World: say Cowichan Intercultural Society members at big festival

Costumes, crafts, food, music, and more drew a crowd to the festival Saturday, Sept. 22

Visitors to the Cowichan Intercultural Society’s One World Festival on Saturday, Sept. 22 in Duncan got to experience the Valley’s diversity close up.

Brilliantly coloured national costumes and bright booths chased away the mood of a grey day as the Society arranged for the street to be closed for the day.

There were crafts of all kinds for sale, displays of artefacts, music, food, and lots more as folk of many nations turned out to celebrate the special place in which they live, and their birth countries at the same time.
