VIDEO:Cowichan MS Walk raises more than $70,000

Participants warm up for the popular Cowichan Valley MS Walk at the Cowichan Sportsplex. Held recently, the campaign raised $70,000 on the day ­— Sunday, May 28 — and MS Society spokesperson, Sheron Chysler, said this week that donations are still coming in steadily and she expects that number to grow significantly. Special incentives offered in honour of Canada’s 150th birthday are in effect up to July 1 and donations are accepted right up to September, when the Society’s year-end occurs, she added.
