VIDEO: Khowhemun puts on a ‘really big shew’ with Elvis-style holiday spectacular

From ‘Jingle Bells’ to ‘Blue Christmas’, Khowhemun’s students put on their blue suede shoes for Xmas

“Ah-ha’ll ha-ha-have a blue Christmas wi-hi-hi-hith out you.”

Yes, the Khowhemun Elementary Winter Concert on Dec. 12 was a “really big shew” this year, as teacher Ira Pelletier marshalled the enthusiastic students in an Elvis-style Christmas.

It was fun for everyone: kids and audience alike, watching the Elvis impersonator emcees — Izaiha, Alex, Naeema, Ivy, Kayleigh, Mason, and Daniel introduce each number like the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

With the show featuring everything from little ones playing cardboard saxophones and air piano to older students playing guitars and xylophones, and everyone else singing like crazy, it was a concert fit for a Las Vegas stage.
