The 10th Annual Great Lake Walk is fast approaching!
To drum up some early interest, and to thank volunteers of the past and present, Great Lake Walk organizers held a customer appreciation cake-cutting in front of Lake Cowichan’s Country Grocer, Saturday, April 16.
“We’re always looking for more volunteers,” Joan Hieta said.
Special pins, and a grand prize of $1,000 in services from the Honeymoon Bay Lodge and Retreat are in the works.
The grand prize will be part of a draw that will include those who finish the 56 kilometre walk around Cowichan Lake.
The Great Lake Walk is set to take place Saturday, September 17. Early bird registrations are $40 until July 1, with increasingly expensive registrations taking place until September 1.
