Months of hard work paid off at Palsson Elementary School, Tuesday, April 12, when students put on two great performances of “Sing Your Own Song;” a musical play written by the school’s music teacher Theo Lassche.

“They worked so hard to make this a good show,” Lassche said, thanking parents for attending the evening show. “It models to them that they’re important.”

And important they were, with students of all ages singing, dancing, and acting on-stage, with little visible nervousness or stage fright.

The play, set in the fictional Lakeside School, had students pitted against grumpy teachers, and teachers pitted against other teachers, with many jokes and playfulness thrown into the mix.

Palsson Elementary School’s gymnasium was filled to capacity, with parents filling all seats and lining the wall to view the youngsters shine, on stage.
