On July 12, the Kaatza Station Museum saw the first installment of a new display behind the Bell Tower School.

Two men from Central Island Power Line, Matt & Wes, took about 15 minutes to dig out the hole, place the pole in it, and back fill.

“Our thanks go out to them for all their help,” says Barbara Simkins, museum curator.

Don Gordon, head of the building committee, was also on hand to oversee the installation.

“Over the next few weeks we will prepare the site for a large block that will rest against the ‘spar tree,’” says Simkins. “This will certainly add to our collection of logging equipment.”
