Indoor markets continue to build momentum at 50+ Centre

Now, an even wider variety of vendors can take part. Check it out

The Spring Market at the Lake Cowichan 50 Plus Activity Centre kicked off March 2 with great success and this week’s session (March 16) opens up the event to an even wider range of vendors.

Avon, Tupperware, PartyLife, Watkins, and similar operators are also invited to join the fun.

It’s an indoor market, with local crafts, baking, and plants, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays until May 4 at the Centre at 55 Coronation St. in downtown Lake Cowichan (across from the post office).

Lunch with fresh baked items is also available at the centre, so don’t miss stopping by the kitchen when you’re there.

The day of the first market, the weather was bright and beautiful and tempted a lot of people out of their houses to come and check out what was available. Greeted at the door by the sight of fresh home baking, and hearing music coming from the stage, lots of people not only stayed to check out every stall and table but also made sure to take part in the cinnamon bun bake-off taking place in the centre of the hall, tasting the treats, and then voting for their favourites.
