Gardens delight on Cowichan Family Life Association tour

Garden lovers from around the region flocked to 6 gardens

The Cowichan Family Life Association’s annual garden tour was a hit after taking two years off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Garden lovers from around the region flocked to the six gardens on the tour, which took place on Sunday, May 29.

In all there were more than 350 attendees, though CFLA’s Executive Director Madelaine MacLeod said they were still tallying final numbers. Likewise, she estimated the tour made more than $10,000 for the association. It is the group’s largest fundraiser.

MacLeod said Tour Coordinator Tina Short and everyone who organized the event were pleased with all of the appreciation shown to the garden owners, who are given a book filled with comments from attendees from the tour. The event was further blessed with good weather and the expertise of Master Gardeners who were on hand to answer questions.
