CVRD looking for volunteers for emergencies

The Cowichan Valley Regional District is looking for volunteers who will be able to swing into action when there’s an emergency.

They are looking for dedicated, caring individuals that are good with people and paperwork to create four teams of Emergency Social Services (ESS) Level 1 Teams with an opportunity to assist in larger ESS events.

Interested? Attend an Emergency Support Services Introductory Session to find out more: Tuesday, April 30, Thursday, May 2, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., or Saturday, May 4, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Sessions take place at the CVRD, 175 Ingram St., Duncan.

Please arrive on time as doors are secured and will not be manned after start time.
