Crew uproot pipes

Pipes underground at the South Shore Road site of a gas station that contaminated the land a few years ago were uprooted, last week.

A crew works at uprooting pipes from a property on South Shore Road that became contaminated a few years ago as a result of gas leakage from a gas station. On-site crew members said that the land is now clear of contaminants. The holes in the ground left by the uprooted pipes were set to be filled in with clay to prevent future contamination.
